Mircroneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure during which thousands of tiny needles are inserted into the skin surface via a rolling or stamping device. Treatable skin conditions include hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, rosacea, fine lines and open pores.
In response to the microscopic wounds caused by tiny needles that are inserted into the skin surface during treatment, the body's natural healing response is activated. This generates the production of additional collagen and elastin in the skin, thus boosting the appearance of fine lines and skin tone.
Treatment includes a cleansing and sterilising skin preparation, mesotherapy grade serum application and full face microneedling.
The induced production of collagen and elastin allows for improved skin tone and texture and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, microneedling targets hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, open pores, rosacea, stretch marks and closed acne lesions. It is suitable for all skin types, plus, minimal down time can be expected.
